This is only a sample strategy to get you started.
1. Write a business plan.
Even if you don’t have a business plan, prepare a simple one page description of what you have in mind and follow the next steps.
2. Get a no frills website for like almost free.
You probably would pay about $ 10 for the domain name. Put up your executive summary. And a few highlights. If you have a little bit of money, you may invest in search engine pay per clicks and get your site search engine optimized as well.
3. Help investors find you by listing your executive summary or business proposition on websites like investmentnetwork.in, go4funding.com, gobignetwork.com, seekinvestors.com and funding universe.com.
These are websites that connect investors and entrepreneurs. Active investors who are looking for projects will search these websites to find projects that match their criteria. You should be listed on at least 5 of these websites, some sites offer free listings and some cost money. The more sites you are on, the more visibility you will get.
4. Research the internet and make a list of venture capital funds that match your investment range, industry and your stage of funding.
Usually, most of these venture funds have a website where you can submit your business plan. Submit your business plan to each of these venture funds through their websites.
5. Reply to inquiries from investors quickly. Ideally, you should reply within 24 hours.
